David Yates Sensei, 5th Dan, Shidoin with the Canadian Aikido Federation, began his Aikido training in 1980 at the Ottawa Aikikai under Richard Ostrofsky Sensei.

On February 11th, 1985 David Sensei opened the Kanata Aikikai out of his house, where it remains to this day. David Sensei is currently the Vice-President of the Canadian Aikido Federation and the President of the Ontario Aikido Federation.

Classes are offered for both adults and children. Visitors are always welcome!
